Jones Forensics is 100% owned and operated by Chris Jones. Chris worked with Federal law enforcement for over 17 years, conducting computer forensics examinations and investigations.
In his career Chris has imaged thousands of pieces of media and conducted analysis on a similar amount. Chris led teams of cybercrime investigators working to identify some of the worst hackers and other cybercriminals. His work has regularly put him at the cutting edge of forensic capabilities and investigations inside the Government.
Chris has many years of experience and particular expertise in some advanced areas such as recovery and rebuilding of RAIDs, advanced decryption tactics and processes, and cryptocurrency investigations, all of which he’s willing and able to perform for private clients.
Chris holds numerous respected professional certifications in digital forensics and financial crime investigations and is a member of various professional organizations that enable access to a wealth of knowledge. Although Jones Forensics is not a private investigations firm, he holds a Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services Private Investigators license. (Hey, sorry for the last one, but his father grew up in Baltimore and pre-Nats the family held season tickets to the Orioles. He grew up on the team, and that history doesn’t change despite the Nats arriving.)

17+ Years working in Law Enforcement as a Criminal Digital Forensics Analyst, with experience with the FBI , DEA, USSS, ICE-HSI, and IRS.
