They offer best practices in digital forensics with clients in need of collection, preservation, and analysis of digital evidence. Services are designed for providing litigation support in Civil, Corporate, and Criminal casework.
Jones Forensics is 100% owned and operated by Chris Jones. Chris worked with Federal law enforcement for over 17 years, conducting computer forensics examinations and investigations.

Data Recovery Services and Rates
"Simple" Data Recovery
Per logical category or grouping of files*: $100.00
Requires a $50 deposit to begin the attempt, remaining $50 only payable if recovery is successful. Deposit will be refunded – so no cost to you at all for trying – if Jones Forensics doesn't have the software or hardware for your particular device.

0 – 32 GB: Free
32.01 GB – 64 GB: $5.00
64.01 – 128 GB: $10.00
128.01 GB – 1 TB: $20.00
Other digital investigative work
Cryptocurrency transaction analysis and tracing: $100.00 per hour
(Requires discussion as to the goal of the analysis)
Chris Jones of Jones Forensics is a licensed Virginia Private Investigator (PI), however as of September 2025 the LLC is not a registered PI Business. Results of a forensic investigation may suggest further steps befitting work performed by a PI. Jones Forensics may be open to performing this work, however they may also refer you to a more specialized organization or individual. We are happy to discuss this as needed.
